Close to sunset on Friday, September 6, (and several nights before and after), countless bird-lovers…
Our Third Saturday Bird Walk continues to be open to all participants. Daniel Farrar will lead in August, at the coast. We’ll be looking for Snowy Plover at Siltcoos. The walk begins at 8:30 am. We will be hiking up and over a sand dune and walking along the beach as Daniel gives us an interpretive talk on Snowy Plovers and his work with them. Please be aware this is a “moderate” walk, with inclines and declines, and uneven/sandy ground.
We will not be offering any official or organized carpool as the pandemic continues. Please feel free to travel to Florence in groups with which you feel comfortable.
Third Saturday walks are open to all participants. There is a suggested $3.00 donation. You do need a pass to park in the lot, which can be purchased on site. Please reach out by emailing fieldtrips@laneaudubon.org if cost is prohibitive, LCAS will help.

This is our trip leader Rebecca’s last walk with LCAS before she leaves!
