Winter Raptor Surveys in the Pacific Northwest, presented by Jeff Fleischer, a retired U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist from Oregon.  He will explain how the 17-year-old project sponsored by the East Cascades Audubon Society chapter in Bend, Oregon, was developed with “citizen science” volunteers to learn more about changes in birds of prey numbers and movements.

For those wishing to experience the presentation in person, the location is Room 100 of Willamette Hall. This joint program held in-person on the UO Campus in Room 100 of Willamette Hall: map.uoregon.edu. It will also will be available via Zoom:

Program Meetings

Our monthly program meetings have something for everyone. During the last year we hosted programs by naturalists, wildlife artists and expert birders on a variety of topics from the birds of Hawaii, to ravens, wolves, and people, to the migration of red knots. Participating in a program meeting is a fun way to get involved with Lane County Audubon. Meetings are free and open to all.

We are currently meeting on Zoom and in-person as conditions allow on the 4th Tuesday of each month between September and May at 7:00 p.m.
