Third Saturday Bird Walk – September 15

December 8 @ 7:55 pm

September’s 3rd Saturday Bird Walk (9/15/18) will be led by Stephan Nance! They will be leading us around Skinner’s Butte, which is an excellent place to bird during Fall Migration. In addition to being a birder, they are a singer/songwriter. Throughout their songs, you can find references to at least 30 birds. Here is a favorite of their work on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBojRGIcPVY FMI: Rebecca Waterman at 541.653.3354 or Rebecca.waterman@gmail.com

All ages and skill levels are welcome. Bring binoculars, if you have them. To carpool, meet at 8 a.m. at the South Eugene High School parking lot, corner of 19th and Patterson. We plan to return by noon. Remember that it’s not a good idea to leave valuables or your vehicle registration in your car, if you leave it at the lot. A $3 donation is appreciated to help support Lane County Audubon’s activities.

Program Meetings

Our monthly program meetings have something for everyone. During the last year we hosted programs by naturalists, wildlife artists and expert birders on a variety of topics from the birds of Hawaii, to ravens, wolves, and people, to the migration of red knots. Participating in a program meeting is a fun way to get involved with Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance. Meetings are free and open to all.

We are currently meeting on Zoom and in-person as conditions allow on the 4th Tuesday of each month between September and May at 7:00 p.m.
