Eugene Birders Night: Birding Northern Colombia (SWOC)
October 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
“Birding Northern Colombia: From the Caribbean to the Pacific and the Mountains in Between.”
Southern Willamette Ornithological Club (SWOC) program–Randy Sinnott will share his knowledge and experiences of this area, home to roughly one-fifth of the world’s bird species. He joined a three-week guided tour there in April of this year. His presentation will include photos of the land, the people, the art, and, of course, birds, including a photograph of five species of antpittas in one frame!
The meeting is at 810 W 3rd Ave, Eugene. All are welcome to this free event, but donations are encouraged. Contact Ellen Cantor with any questions, firstname.lastname@example.org
Our monthly program meetings have something for everyone. During the last year we hosted programs by naturalists, wildlife artists and expert birders on a variety of topics from the birds of Hawaii, to ravens, wolves, and people, to the migration of red knots. Participating in a program meeting is a fun way to get involved with Lane County Audubon. Meetings are free and open to all.
We are currently meeting on Zoom and in-person as conditions allow on the 4th Tuesday of each month between September and May at 7:00 p.m.
