*SAVE THE DATE*   This will be our 80th Christmas Bird Count! It will be on Sunday, January 2, 2022 which is our normal date during the three week Count Period. Unfortunately, we will still be under Covid restrictions and thus there will be no Chili Feed and the 27 Teams in the field will need to practice social distancing.

Details are posted on the Christmas Bird Count page. Please feel free to contact the Count Coordinator Dick Lamster at maeveanddick@q.com or call him at 541-343-8664 if you have questions.

All previous ECBC participants are encouraged to do it again this year and new birders are always welcomed. We will find a team for anyone who wants to look for birds on January 2nd. We also encourage people to be Home Counters and observe the birds in their yards and report their sightings to us at the end of the day.

Program Meetings

Our monthly program meetings have something for everyone. During the last year we hosted programs by naturalists, wildlife artists and expert birders on a variety of topics from the birds of Hawaii, to ravens, wolves, and people, to the migration of red knots. Participating in a program meeting is a fun way to get involved with Lane County Audubon. Meetings are free and open to all.

We are currently meeting on Zoom and in-person as conditions allow on the 4th Tuesday of each month between September and May at 7:00 p.m.
