Volunteer Opportunity: Bike Path Clean-Up 4/11/21
On Sunday, April 11th, 2021 from 9am-noon, Lane County Audubon Society is hosting our bi-annual Bike Path Clean-Up. We’re seeking volunteers to help clean up a two-mile area of West Eugene’s Fern Ridge Bike Path, and the bonus is you get to watch birds along the path while you work! We'll provide the supplies (bags, buckets and tools to pick up trash), and volunteers are responsible for bringing work gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, and any personal snacks or drinks. We will meet near the Euphoria Chocolate Company at Stewart and Bertelson Rds, just north of West 11th.
About: In 1998, Lane County Audubon made a commitment to the City of Eugene by "adopting" the westerly end (about 2 miles) of West Eugene's Fern Ridge Bike Path. Audubon's decision expresses our dedication to keeping Eugene's waterways an inviting habitat for wildlife and a safe and clean area for recreation. Our stretch of the Bike Path is between Terry Street on the West and Bailey Hill Road on the East.
